User Agreement

By creating an account you agree to these terms. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to trade on CardSwap. You are responsible for keeping your password and account secure, and for everything done through your account.

CardSwap is a marketplace that connects trading card game collectors. CardSwap does not accept sports cards. Members' cards stay theirs, and CardSwap is not a party to member trades beyond the protections in our Terms & Conditions. CardSwap does handle cards in some cases: trades sent to it for inspection, consigned cards, and cards it sells as CardSwap Official listings.

You keep ownership of the photos, descriptions and other content you post. You give CardSwap a non-exclusive licence to display that content on the site so the marketplace can work.

Listings must be accurate and must show the actual card being traded. Submitting, listing, trading or selling counterfeit cards, altered cards presented as unaltered, stolen goods or other prohibited items is strictly prohibited.

CardSwap may hold a suspected counterfeit while it is reviewed. We will preserve relevant records, notify the submitting user, and provide a reasonable opportunity to submit authenticity evidence unless law enforcement, a court order, or an immediate safety or evidence-preservation need prevents that process.

If CardSwap reasonably determines after review that an item is counterfeit, we may cancel the transaction, refund the affected trader or buyer, restrict or suspend the submitting user's account, and cooperate with rights holders or law enforcement. To the extent permitted by law, CardSwap may retain, surrender to authorities, or destroy the item for evidence preservation or community protection, without returning it or compensating the submitting user. We will follow any binding legal instruction that requires a different result.

Trade protection fees, marketplace fees and CardSwap Pro pricing are described on our Pricing page and in the Terms & Conditions. By confirming a trade or sale you authorise the charges shown at checkout.

Trades are never charged a percentage of card value. Percentage fees apply only to the cash part of a trade, to cash sales, and to consignment sales.

Trading and selling on CardSwap requires identity verification, including a legal ID photo and a facial match. We use verification only to confirm you are who you say you are and to keep the marketplace safe. Your ID and selfie photos are permanently deleted one week after the check runs, and once you are verified you never have to scan again.

Treat other members with respect. Harassment, fraud, shill offers and attempts to move trades off-platform are grounds for suspension.

You may close your account at any time from My profile. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms. Sections that should survive closure (fees owed, dispute history, safety records) survive.
