Privacy Notice

Last updated September 30, 2026. What personal information CardSwap collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Account details you give us: username, email address, password, shipping address and, for trading and selling, identity-verification photos and a facial scan. ID and selfie photos are deleted one week after the verification check runs; we keep only the result (verified or not, and the match score) so you never have to scan again.

Collection and activity data: the cards you list, binders, want lists, decks, posts, offers, trades, ratings and messages. Usage data: device and browser information and how you use the site.

How we use it

To run the marketplace: matching trades, processing payments, shipping labels, notifications and support. To keep the site safe: identity verification, fraud prevention and trade enforcement. To improve CardSwap and, with your consent, to personalise your Feed.

We never sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

Service providers that help us run CardSwap: our payment processor (Stripe) for payments, our email provider for notifications, and our hosting and AI providers for site features and verification. They may only use your data to provide services to us.

Other members see your public profile, public binders, decks you mark public, your posts and the cards you open for trade or sale — never your email, address or verification photos.

Retention and your choices

We keep your information while your account is open. Verification records and trade history are kept longer where needed for safety, disputes and legal requirements.

You can update your profile, close your account, or contact us at cardswapmarketplacesd@gmail.com to exercise your rights. California residents have additional rights described in our CA Privacy Notice.
